About Us

Jenny and Kevin have been running the Guest House for seven years now and during that time many changes and improvements have been made. Kevin says the Guest House is very much like the Forth Bridge, as soon as he finishes one room, another needs redecoration!

At the rear of the property there is a completely secure parking area for six cars and umpteen bikes, this also incorporates our ‘pets corner’. We have our own chickens and ducks hence the very, very fresh eggs, the greenhouse provides us with ample tomatoes in the summer. We also have two pet pot bellied pigs, Bramley and Braeburn, our own disposal units who fertilise our hundreds of pot plants, nothing wasted here!!!

We have numerous birds in the aviaries, pet rabbits and guinea pigs and our two precious tortoises, a joy for children and adults alike.

Talking of joy, our pet parrots, Alfie and Sammy, in the dining room, provide constant entertainment and are a huge talking point amongst our guests. They have been known to swear, obviously not taught by us!!!

This is a totally non-smoking Guest House but there is a purpose built smoking area with seats at the rear.

We pride ourselves on our breakfasts and you will find that nothing is too much trouble, vegetarian and halal food is provided on request, when booking it would help us if you notified us of any dietary requirements.

We have provided dressing gowns, hairdryers, shower caps, alarm clocks and even a Guests Library so please don’t weigh yourselves down with these items, if you have forgotten anything we are sure we will be able to help. Laundry facilities are available at a small cost but the iron is available to everyone.

The rooms all have sinks, television, towels, coffee and tea making facilites, we also provide the wine glasses and the bottle opener but sorry, you have to bring the wine!!!

Our greatest satisfaction is the number of guests who return time and time again and indeed we are delighted that Trip Advisor has nominated us the No. 1 Guest House in Abergavenny owing to the number of positive comments, please check us out.

The Guest Lounge has Sky television, dvd, Wii machine and games, for young and old and an X box and games, also books, puzzles, dominoes, cards, etc should you wish to put your feet up and relax.

The Guest House has to be a biker’s paradise because all bikes are so safely stored in our virtually impenetrable car park and as for walkers, well, we are so used to drying off muddy boots and soaking clothes it is practically my hobby!!!  We can also provide packed lunches designed to keep the calorie starved walker going for miles but hopefully, after our breakfast, they will not be needed.
