Our Rooms
Our rooms all have sinks, television, towels, coffee and tea making facilites, we also provide the wine glasses and the bottle opener but sorry, you have to bring the wine!!!
Although there are only three ensuites, there are so many ‘left over showers and toilets’ from the days when there were no ensuites you need never fear a queue!!!
BLORENGE – A south facing double ensuite room with a clear view of the Blorenge mountain and our pets’ corner. With any luck you will see our chickens laying your eggs for breakfast but beware, Deidre, our resident drake (don’t ask) has a harem and is very amourous in the summer, apologies before you arrive.
PUNCH BOWL – Another south facing double room with its own designated shower and toilet. This room has a clear view of what I call the dimple on the Blorenge mountain, however this is officially called the Punch Bowl. The world heritage site, Big Pit is on the Blorenge at a town called Blaenavon and is well worth a visit. It is an experience of a coal mine and iron works and all guests who have been find it fascinating. It is about 5 miles from here and what is more important you can take all this in for FREE!!
SKIRRID – A total transformation, two rooms knocked into one affording a family room/ ground floor disabled room/ twin room suite, ensuite of course!!! Indeed this room offers much versatility and subject to guests’ requirements prices are negotiable.
DERI – An ensuite double room, you will need a slight crane of the neck to view the Deri but it is there to your left. A quiet room with lots of sunshine in the morning, weather permitting.

Deri
RHOLBEN- An ensuite double room with shared facilities. Again a crane of the neck is required to view the Rholben and the Deri, a pretty, quiet room.
SUGAR LOAF – Possibly one of my favourite rooms. A large ensuite twin room which would take a kiddies travel cot or even our own (very expensive!!) blow up bed. Don’t hesitate to ask for this room if you have a toddler or a baby. (We have managed 3 adults in here on more than one occasion!)

Sugar Loaf
I have to tell you that there is a saying in Abergavenny. “Where ever you are and providing there is not a building in front of you, you can see a Mountain”. After all these years of being here it can still take my breath away as it is true.
